A Day in the Life of a Student-Athlete: Emily Madden

Today we give you an inside look of a regular day for one of our players, Emily Madden.  Some basic information on Emily:  Sophomore, business major with Italian concentration, also a member of the UD softball team, 3.44 GPA, from Torrington, WY, very busy and very energetic.  The post takes you through Emily's Monday and Tuesday.  The first picture is from last year on one of our road trips.  Emily is the one awake!  It's a favorite picture.  Enjoy the day in the life of Emily Madden!

5:10am – Wake up

5:25am – Head to the gym

5:30-6:30am – Weights (softball)

6:30-7:30am – Agilities (softball)

7:40-8:00am – Ice/roll out in the training room

8:00-8:20am – Team breakfast in the cafeteria

8:30am – Shower/get ready for class

9:15-9:50am – Study for my test at 11

10:00-10:50am – Intermediate Italian I (Conditionals and double pronouns)

11:00-11:50am – Ace (hopefully) my Productions and Operations Management test (covering chapters 1-4)

12:00-1230pm – Lunch with the roomies (Brooke & Marleyna) and a couple of members of the guys team

12:32pm – Give into peer pressure and buy an overly priced Charity Week T-Shirt for $10

12:40-12:55pm – Study for my Chemistry Lab Quiz

1:00-2:50pm – Forensic Chemistry Lab (Identification of fingerprints)

3:15-6:20pm – Softball practice

6:30-7:10pm – Shower/get ready

7:15pm  - Leave campus and get gas at Shell

8:00-10:45pm – Dallas Cowboys game vs. Chicago Bears at Cowboys Stadium with Marleyna and Zach Royal from the guys team

12:00am – Return to campus

12:05-12:20am – Tell Brooke how fun the game was! (She had class)

12:30am – Time to sleep!!

9:00am – Wake up (FINALLY get to sleep in)/ get ready

9:30-10:50am – Forensic Chemistry (Balancing chemical equations with polyatomic ions)

11:1150am – Time to relax, aka watch a portion of “You’ve Got Mail.” (one of my favorite movies)

12:00-12:20pm – Lunch with Christy Allen and Zach Royal

12:30-1:50 – American Civilization I (aka my time to pinterest/procrastinate. History isn’t my thing)

2:00-3:20pm – Fundamentals of Economics (Law of Supply and Demand)

3:30-3:45pm – Softball pictures

4:00-4:45pm – Time to relax. Finish the rest of “You’ve Got Mail.”

5:00 – 6:30pm – Softball team dinner at La Margarita for a Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser. 

7:00-8:00pm – Basketball open gym

8:00-8:25pm – Watch some of the men’s open gym

8:30-9:30pm – Study/do homework for Italian

9:30-10:15pm – Call Dad/Mom/Cassie

10:15-11:00pm – Study

11:15pm – Bed!!
